“I'm doing a study and writing notes about the seven occasions that David sought Yahweh before making a major decision ("shall I go up?").
I just wrote the following in the notes and thought I would share them here with you -- hoping the notes are timely for someone:
I like to use a phrase the Lord gave me some years ago that I use often in prayerful decision-making: "Give God room and give Him time to act."
What I mean by this is to pray and be patient; pray, instead of getting ahead of Him. Pray, and ask Him for His wisdom and timing on a matter.
The easy decision is always to act. The harder way is to pray and wait. But it’s always the best way. The former example very often gets us into trouble.”
