The words, "Did God say?" was Satan's first word to humanity (Gen. 3:1). Audaciously, he spoke similarly to Jesus: "If You are..." (Mt. 4:1; Luke 4:1).

Do not be surprised when (not if) he challenges the authority of the Word of God to you -- directly or indirectly (through false teachers).

The deceiver is supremely threatened by the Word of God, which upends (and will eventually destroy) him, his power, his authority, and his kingdom.
