Waiting on God: Important Lessons in Life!

Pastor’s Corner: Waiting on God

Are you in a holding pattern?

Pastor Brad Abley just returned from his Kenya Mission Trip. He wrote this after landing in the JFK airport:

“Flying into JFK, we were in a holding pattern for about 10 minutes, circling. It then occurred to me that there is a parallel with the challenge of waiting on God, one of the most important lessons in life.

When you're in a holding pattern on a plane, instead of circling and delaying, you just want to be on the ground and off the plane, headed to your destination.

But the pilot and air traffic control know better, and they cannot rush the process. Moreover, they're more concerned for our safe arrival at that point than we are.

It's always better to wait patiently. "Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame" (Isaiah 49:23).”
