Humanitarian Aid for Refugee Camp
Sudanese Refugees living at Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp in Uganda
About Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp:
“Most of the refugees come from South Sudan, a country that gained independence in 2013 but witnessed a new wave of war torn instability and famine in 2016, forcing over 1.6 million South Sudanese to flee their homes. Out of the 1.6 million, 800,000 fled to Uganda. Uganda has one of the most compassionate refugee policies, allowing people to set up their own homes, and refugees are given the right to work and travel, which is uncommon. Uganda has, therefore, become a hot spot for refugees, which has brought an economic strain on the nation, forcing it to rely on humanitarian assistance to sustain millions of refugees.”
Humanitarian Aid for a REFUGEE CAMP in Uganda!
We are now partnering with an American Missionary living near: Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp. There are 300,000+ Sudanese Refugees living in the camp. Their main need is food!
A donation of $125 will feed:
* 4 Families (= 20+ people)
* Providing meals for 2-3 weeks
Shown in the photos: Beans / Silverfish / Soap / Salt
In partnership with this missionary and her three Sudanese Pastor friends, they distribute the food to one village that they are working with. Below are photos of the villagers receiving some food this week!
On another note, we are excited to share that Pastor Brad's Voice of Hope-Africa weekly radio programs can be heard at the Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp in Uganda on Shortwave Radio! We are thanking God for this opportunity to reach these people with the GOSPEL in Uganda!! "Why Shortwave Radio in AFRICA?"
