Excerpts from the Radio Mikayi’s - Station Manager
“Receive warm Christmas greetings from Radio Mikayi team,
On behalf of the management of the radio, I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to entire team at A Heart after God Bible Teaching Ministry whose resources, sacrifices and work have made it possible for us to air the weekly radio program, a program that has not only made the radio station popular amongst the Luo speaking natives in the 4 counties where our radio signals are received (i.e. Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori and Kisumu) but also grown our reach in non-Luo speaking listener in the above and neighboring counties.
The program time "Saturdays 9:30pm-10:30pm" is a prime time where the radio listenership is highest, as the families are gathered around the radio after dinner with an estimate of between 1.8 to 2 million listeners on average.
Social media engagement is also a strong metric indicator for radio content, and as we can attest posts for the weekly program on our radio's social media pages have been receiving good engagements organically (without being sponsored).
Needful to point out that in as much as we may rely on the direct feedback as metric of measure, arguably a larger majority of loyal listeners who may have technological or financial challenges to regularly give feedback, especially the unlearned and the old. This has been confirmed when we do live programs on location where large number turns up and some are our ardent fans.
I therefore believe that the radio program has been a blessing to the radio station; through wholesome and rich Christian content and not forgetting the fact that the ministry has been a reliable partner in financial resources that has kept the station running.
