Pst Joseph of Kamuli hosted Pst Brad’s 8-Days of ministry in Uganda!

  • Below in Pst Joseph’s own words, he shares what he learned during the 8-Days of ministry together:

“With much pleasure I want to express my gratitude towards our ministerial relationship (with Pst Brad) we have had for the past 7 years working together in the kingdom of God until date. Sincerely its a mark stone in my life and the rest of other people who has gotten a chance of relating with you, their lives have not remained the same. Kamuli District, Eastern Region, Central and Northern have benefited so much in your teachings which always air on Radio every Friday from 6pm to 7pm at KBS FM. Through it, many people have given their lives to Christ, many families have changed from their bad characters like fighting, drinking of the alcohol, child abuse, raping, adultery, stealing and so on. Thank you for the sacrifice.  As a host during our recent conference I learned many things but briefly I will talk about 3 major things that God has kept demanding me since then:

  • God is looking for Honesty / Faithful leaders

I found that to influence others, it is important to be honest as a leader. When people can believe what a leader tells them, they are more likely to journey with that leader. As a leader, I must be open about what I know and don’t know, about what I can and cannot do. I can admit where I need help and when I have made a mistake. Admitting my shortcomings goes a long way in proving I have the authenticity and integrity needed to build relationships and trust. People are willing to journey with those who have integrity

  • God is looking for a leader who can Invest in His work

For Christ to gain in my leadership, I have to invest in others, committing time and effort to know and encourage them. People need to believe a leader who is interested in who they are and what they do. When we take the time to really listen to others, they are more willing to listen to us. An influential leader takes time to discover the hopes and dreams of others and help them achieve their dreams. When we make this type of investment in others, we will find that they are more willing to invest in us too.

Pst Joseph is also Pst Brad’s “Radio Pst” for his weekly FM Gospel broadcast, reaching 8.9 million people weekly!

  • God is looking for a Flexible Leader

Another thing that I learned is that flexibility is another key point contributing to a leader’s influence in his calling. Being  flexible doesn’t mean being wishy-washy or indecisive. Instead of just agreeing with the last person in the room, a flexible leader takes time to dig more deeply into the issue and learn the underlying cause of the problem in hopes of finding a compromise. Learning to be flexible in the right way builds a leader’s influence. When others see a leader’s willingness to compromise, they are more willing to do the same. Great leaders are typically decisive but understand the importance of being flexible to help move people forward to the Mission.”

Thank you Pst Joseph for sharing these spiritual truths with us from the Leadership Conference! You and your team did an excellent job of hosting Pst Brad for the 8-Days of Ministry. God bless you, Bridgett and the team.
