A Uganda Radio Listener shares what he learned from Pastor Brad’s teaching on Marriage!

“What is so special about a Christian Marriage? A Christian Marriage is about LOVE and RESPECT! I learned from Pst Brad as he told his own story with his wife of 40+ years, his beloved Maureen. I tell you, I cried the whole night thinking on how badly I treated my wife and my children, yet I call myself a pure Christian! Oh God! When Pst Brad read
Ephesians 5:33 “However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”
“This verse emphasizes the mutual respect an love that should be present in every marriage. And this this the first place to start when you find yourself in disagreement with your wife and you think she’s unruly. Just because we don’t agree with each other, doesn’t mean we should stop loving and respecting our wives in the middle of a disagreement - even if they are not being loving and respectful towards us. Just like it takes “two to tango,” it takes two to argue! But disagreement shouldn’t automatically equal disrespect, and it’s a lot easier to love someone when you’re being respectful.
I listened to Pst Brad speak all these words and felt so sorry in how I treated my wife, though she wasn’t with me at that moment. (The fact is that I have betrayed my wife so many times, having slept with over 17 women in this year.)
One day my wife was sick and she begged me to cook some food for here to eat before taking her medication. Instead I slapped her and things did end up well for me. I went to jail for 3 months and it didn’t help me. Later I heard Pst Brad teaching on Marriage. This message changed me!
I love my wife, I now cook and help her do the wash. My conversations with her now are great. Our love in our home has increased. I even asked her to forgive me for all that I did to her. But what pains me so much is the scars tat are on her body, I did this. When I look at the scars I regret my action and feel a lot of pain in my heart.
I asked my wife for forgiveness! We have begun our marriage again! Thank God.”
