Pastor Brad Abley writes…
“To be invited back -- as I was-- is extremely rare, and some people that speak once -- or most people that speak once -- are not invited back. But Pst Paul, my Host pastor, thinks that we will have more invitations (I had two different Invitations from two different security officers).
And so it was a huge win that the highest level officers in their secret service were pleased with what happened.
The commander of all the branches and the State House were very pleased and the commander (our equivalent of a cabinet level leader, or the head of the Secret Service) sat through the whole service and listened intently to my message.
Moreover, before the service started he made a point to come up right to me and meet me. I was told that this absolutely never happens.
Just about everyone said that I described God and how to walk out the Christian faith in ways that they have not heard before. And this even includes chaplains.
A huge part of my effective ministry before preaching was in praying and prophesying over the five different men and women who were being ordained. Specifically, four men and one woman.
