Pastor Brad Abley shares…

Today was “Thrilling and Heartbreaking!” Arguably, my personal efforts to raise funds for Ebenezer Children's Home, may prove to be the most important part of this two-week Kenya Mission’s trip. I certainly didn't see this coming…

Through the generous donation of some dear friends -- a couple that I pastored back in San Jose -- we were able to get the orphans 31 new mattresses and many beautiful blankets.

It was thrilling to watch the genuine rejoicing over such a simple gift. I hadn't planned to go into the boys and girls dormitories; but I asked Paul Pastor to show me what the old mattresses look like and these pictures don't even do it justice. *View Blog Post showing old mattresses!

I wasn't sure whether I was going to throw up or break down in tears, seeing what they used to sleep on!”

The name Ebenezer means “Stone of Help!” 1 Samuel 7:12

“Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”

For information on how to donate to Ebenezer Children’s Home, see previous blog post. Pastor Brad partners with “MissionNow.Org” a ministry dedicated to supporting this orphanage located in Siaya, Kenya.

Thanks so much for praying for the Orphans at Ebenezer
